Tinubu Names Derinsola Abiola as CLTC DG, NANS Applauds Decision

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Ms. Derinsola Abiola, daughter of the late Chief MKO Abiola, as the new Director-General of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC).

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) welcomed the development, describing it as a well-considered choice that matches competence with responsibility.

In a statement by its National Public Relations Officer, Comrade Adeyemi Samson Ajasa, NANS praised Abiola’s track record, noting her previous role as Senior Special Assistant on Citizenship and Leadership, where she championed initiatives promoting civic responsibility, youth leadership, and national unity.

According to NANS, her new position will allow her to expand these efforts on a larger scale, benefiting more young Nigerians and strengthening leadership development across the country.

The association encouraged Abiola to maintain her dedication and vision while assuring her of their support in advancing programs that foster responsible citizenship.
