Glo Subscribers Hail Improved Voice and Data Services After Major Upgrade

Globacom’s recent nationwide network upgrade is beginning to pay off, as customers across Nigeria are applauding the improved quality of service on both voice and data.

From Ibadan to Abuja, Benin, Port Harcourt, and Lagos, subscribers have shared positive experiences, highlighting stronger signals, clearer calls, and faster internet speeds.

In Omi Adio, near Ibadan, U.S.-based entrepreneur Leke Okufuwa explained that he recently purchased four Glo SIMs to power his farm’s CCTV systems. He noted that Glo provides the best coverage in the area, adding that he plans to subscribe for a terabyte of data to run the surveillance systems year-round.

Similarly, in Ogbomoso, Godwin Ogharandukun Ofeoritse praised the accessibility of Glo’s services and reported faster data and better call quality. Another resident, Olajire Balogun, confirmed that the network has become more reliable in his area.

In Abuja, users like Biodun Ibrahim from Mpape and Esther Atanze from Asokoro shared that the upgrade has significantly boosted browsing speed and call clarity. Mary John from Kubwa also noted smoother video calls and fewer complaints from friends and family about connectivity.

In Port Harcourt, Paul Ije reported stronger signal strength, clearer calls, and faster browsing and streaming, while Lagos residents also testified to the improvements. Stephanie Ifeatu from Costain, Sani Sunday from Lagos Island, and James Aondofa from Victoria Island all gave positive feedback. Mr. Aondofa, who has used Glo for over a decade, described the browsing experience as excellent and praised the network’s coverage and call rates after a recent SIM swap.
